Dispatch
Dispatch is a membership-native Ghost theme built for independent writers who run paid newsletters. It treats your publication the way Substack treats it — as a product you own — but hosted on Ghost, which means you control the domain, the data, and the economics.
The theme is designed for high-frequency editorial work: dense, scannable, and built around conversion. Every surface is shaped around getting a casual reader onto your list and a free subscriber to pay.
Standout surfaces
Section titled “Standout surfaces”- Homepage hero — your site title and a configurable
homepage_introline that frames the publication for first-time visitors. - Membership pricing on home — an optional pricing table (
show_pricing_on_home) renders your Ghost tiers directly on the homepage, so readers can subscribe without navigating away. - Paywall — members-only posts display a styled paywall block for signed-out readers and free-tier members.
- Account and sign-in pages — Ghost Portal handles authentication; Dispatch styles the sign-in and account pages to match the publication.
- Newsletter subscribe blocks — configurable call-to-action text (
signup_cta_text) appears in subscribe modules throughout the theme.

Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”Dispatch is compatible with Ghost 5 and Ghost 6. Members and Stripe integration require a Ghost instance with membership enabled.
