Quietus
Quietus is a minimalist serif theme for essays and long-form writing. The design is built to disappear — clean white space, a single typeface, no chrome competing with your words. Readers arrive, sit down, and read.
The theme is suited to essayists, critics, and writers who publish infrequently and at length. There is no dense grid, no trending carousel, no sidebar. There is a list of essays, and there is the essay itself.
Standout surfaces
Section titled “Standout surfaces”- Homepage — your site title, a configurable
homepage_introline, and a clean chronological list of essays. Nothing more. - Essay view — an optional feature image at the top of the page, followed by full-width prose with generous leading and a comfortable measure.
- Signature — a short closing line (
signature) shown in the footer across the site, replacing the conventional publication tagline. - Color scheme — Light, Dark, or Auto. The sienna accent (
#a5552fby default) appears sparingly on links and typographic marks.

Compatibility
