Install
Follow the shared Installing a theme guide to upload and activate the Dispatch .zip in Ghost Admin. The steps below cover what to do immediately after activation.
First-run configuration
Section titled “First-run configuration”1. Set your homepage intro
Section titled “1. Set your homepage intro”In Ghost Admin, go to Settings → Design → Customize and set homepage_intro to a single sentence that frames your publication for new visitors. This line appears below your site title in the homepage hero. A clear, specific description outperforms a tagline — tell readers what they will receive and how often.
2. Enable membership
Section titled “2. Enable membership”Dispatch is built for paid newsletters. If you have not already done so, enable members in Settings → Membership, connect Stripe, and create at least one paid tier. See Membership & tiers for the full setup.
3. Confirm the color scheme
Section titled “3. Confirm the color scheme”color_scheme defaults to Light, which is the recommended starting point. If your content or brand calls for a dark interface, switch to Dark. Auto follows the reader’s operating system preference.
