Homepage & navigation

The Dispatch homepage is designed around a single goal: converting a first-time visitor into a subscriber. The layout is intentionally vertical and direct — hero, feed, pricing, footer — with no decorative sections between them.

The hero displays your Ghost site title and the homepage_intro line. Set homepage_intro to a single, plain-language description of what your publication covers and how often it arrives. Avoid abstract marketing copy; specificity converts better.

Below the hero, Dispatch renders a chronological feed of your published posts. Cards show the post title, excerpt, and — if show_feature_images is enabled — the feature image. The feed is paginated using Ghost’s standard pagination.

When show_pricing_on_home is enabled (the default), Dispatch renders your Ghost membership tiers as a pricing table below the feed. The tier names, prices, and descriptions are pulled directly from Ghost — configure them in Settings → Membership → Tiers. Disable this toggle if you prefer not to surface pricing on the front page.

signup_cta_text controls the headline on newsletter subscribe modules that appear throughout the homepage and in individual posts. Write it as a direct, specific invitation rather than a generic instruction.

Dispatch maps your Ghost primary navigation to the site header. Add links in Settings → Navigation. The secondary navigation, if configured, appears in the site footer. Keep the primary navigation to five items or fewer; the header does not collapse to a menu on desktop.
